What's under your mask?

I always silently give gratitude to each person I see wearing a mask because wearing a mask protects other people more than it does the person wearing it

We are now living in a new world that requires we wear masks in any public setting. Masks are not always comfortable to wear but we do it for each other.

“These (masks) are not intended to prevent you from getting the virus, they are intended to prevent other people from getting the virus from you,”Dr. Howard Forman, professor of management, public health, economics and radiology at Yale University and Yale School of Medicine “If everybody takes that recommendation carefully, then you are clearly benefiting from the collective.”

It is important that we also practice self-care when using masks.

Focus on Fit

Face mask should cover your nose and mouth. They should be snug, but still comfortable. It doesn’t need to be fancy and can even be a scarf, bandana with two rubber bands.

Breath is super important to our health so make sure you can breathe comfortably.

Wash your mask often – and your hands!

There are no official guidelines on how often to wash masks, but I treat them like underwear and my rule is one a day and then wash!

If you are only wearing it for a few hours, then you can easily wear them a few days before washing. Be careful when touching the mask to put it on and off.

Smell Matters – Don’t breathe in anything Stinky!

If you smell something bad when you are wearing your mask, chances are it’s your breath. In truth, you have an opportunity to breathe in something good for you that can support your immunity and lungs just by rolling essential oils that have been diluted in a carrier oil under your nose when wearing a mask.

Our Breathe blend stimulates congestion relief and drainage using the pure power of our blend. Blended in 100% organic jojoba oil, these essential oils inside loosen mucus build-up, remove respiratory rigidity, and ease coughs.

Essential Oil Remedies to Breathe Easier:

  • Black Pepper to ease congestion
  • Eucalyptus to help fight contaminants
  • Ravintsara helps ease congestion

We do not recommend putting pure essential oils on the mask or your skin directly as essential oils are powerful and can negatively impact your health if not used correctly.
